I thought for sure we were finally getting the yellow Workzone Bulkhead repaint that could have looked really nice. So I checked out this. Only to find it looks like someone has taken a crap on Voyager Bulkhead. Dude, that toy is putrid. Definite pass.

 

Mmmm... nope. Even though I like this mold very much, I don't like how the head looks. The whole body has way too much black. They could have come with a better scheme. A pass for me, sorry.

 

Well I like the paint job. I really hope I'm caught up on ROTF by the time the animated toys hit.

This is exactly what I was going to say. I have no idea why Hasbro would pass on the most obvious repaint.

They're trying to get people to hate Animated so they can kill it quietly.

 

Looks OK, but not really different enough to keep my interest. I've never been a fan of non-show, non-remold, non-new-character "Butterscotch Batman" repaints though.

 

I think he'd look good next to a Nazi sumo wrestler.

 

Well the paint job is nice but couldn't they of painted the wrecking ball green to be mor tv acurate and used the leader mold instead this is a toy I might pass on.

 

Is this official? I wa sure they said there'd be no more new animated toys other then what we'd seen at this years cons and the only voyager repaint shown was thundercracker.

Wow, this came out of nowhere. As happy as I am to see anything new from animated, I wont be dropping my money for it.

It's alright. I find it odd how much they love putting green and especially black on a lot of their Animated figures, original or repaint. Lockdown started it all, then you have a black version of Bumblebee with Elite Guard, then black and green for Atomic Lugnut, black and green for the repaint of Oil Slick, and now black and green for Bulkhead. There are other colors out there, Hasbro!

Ah well, he does kind of look like he came from the Tron universe at least.

 

I hope they put head stripes like that on Fugitive Wasp, give him a slightly more accurate look. Ideally, I'd love if they paint on the mandibles.

As to this toy, nah.
