It's probably quicker to ask me which toys I WON'T buy (which is basically the Fast Action Battlers, Beast Machines and anything before Beast Wars, but there's the odd crap toy), but to actually answer the question I will be buying Blackout, especially since Toxitron pointed out the removeable-ness of the tail rotor.

 

Not a chance; Animated remains my least favorite TF toys in all my years of collecting. Glad he's coming for those that are looking forward to it, though.

 

He has six miniguns,... SIX... MINIGUNS! (two on each arm shield and two on his shoulders for those that are going, buh?) Plus rocket pylons...

No way I'm missing out on this, of course it helps that I love teh design, animated in generala nd have bought every single unique mould figure release so far and even a couple of repaints aaaand even the battle begins two pack.

 

wish they had done the cybertron version instead of the earth one.. but i think i will buy him..

If Blackout stands around the height of Rodimus Minor/Prime (Which is pretty plausible because he has longish legs) then he is definetly brought. If the rotor is not detachable I will need to see more pics. However, I am pretty confident it is detachable, as explained by the guy who started this topic. ^^;

Also, he is pretty much a Cybertron Mode. The biggest difference is the inclusion of a rotor and a tail.

 

I'm done with Animated toys with the awesomeness of the Revenge of the Fallen toys. I'm happy to hear the big ass rotor is removable but I still don't want the toy.

This is a big dissapointment, he might as well been an animated bversion of the movie character instead of even being based ont he cartoon at all.

He looks nothing like the cartoon, his legs are small and spindly, he has an Earth mode, and his colors aren't even the same from the toon.

They might as well have said we are doing an animated version of Movie Blackout.

Definate pass.

It's a symmetrical design, the other two miniguns would be on his other arm. They are unable to be seen the provided picture because he currently has the Tail rotor attached to his arm.

He is totally bought because he's an Animated toy, and more importantly, he's a Decepticon! Not enough unique molds in the Animated line for that faction. Still wish we were getting the Constructicons.

I just worry that his colors will match very closely to Atomic Lugnut. They could be twins it almost looks like.
