I hope there's some way to pose him in beast mode that doesn't look awkward. I don't think any pterroformer has managed to pull that one off quite yet.

Awesome pics Sean, if I wasn't already dead set on getting Swoop, they'd have certainly helped sway me towards him. Cannot wait for the vid.

 

Of all 3 dinobots, Swoop leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I dont know what it is. I mean he looks "ok". But thats all. The others look amazing though!

 

Not bad, but I can definitely wait for retail for him. Snarl's transformed wrong.

Thanks for the review as usual, Sean. As far as design goes, the Dinobots just look completely rad. I love my Grimlock to death (and his exposed 'bot head in dino mode doesn't bother me), and I can't wait to get Slag/Snarl and now Swoop! So very true to the show. Oh, and I could have sworn there was a way to make him stand/crouch in dino mode. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have to look like he's belly-flopping as a pterodactyl ;D

 

THANKS BRO! Yea he can stand in dino mode but at least on mine he becomes very top heavy with his legs if you crouch him. I show it in my video review. THE DINOBOTS RULE!

does the flail have popout flames? It looks like it should do something..

 

luckily swoop and snarl kept all their metallic gold paint apps, grimlock lost his on the dino arms, claws and tail, became the far less glamorous looking orange. edit, sWHOOPs im wrong, his feet and hands are orange gah!

Yea I think those photos were photoshoped but Swoop's paint is like the Ironman figures and the paint is very shimmering and bright. I don't know why Snarl's club is black and orange in the pics but in the official release toy it's the orange cheetoo club...Hasbro is weird but we still give them all our money  

I checked the official instructions online and the weapon doesn't seem to have any pop out feature unless it's an unofficial thing which I can't figure out how it comes out.

 

As far as action features for the flail, all the signs seem to point to where the chain attaches to the spiked ball. What if you pull on it?

 

or push it in?

 

I'm gonna try it out when I get home I just didn't want to break anything like what people did with Lockdown's Hands
