I've had mine for months with no paint problems. He's not the most stable figure though, because of his leg transformation, but he's still pretty fun to have.

The paint on mine is fine, and I don't see how his head is too small. Laserbeak is awesome, too, he even perches on the arms! I say get him.

Or if you want Ratbat in place of Laserbeak, wait for Electrostatic Soundwave. I'm getting E. Soundwave even though I own the normal release, I love the mold so much, and I want Ratbat, too.

The legs were a little loose on mine as well....but a touch of acrylic solved that. Excellent figure, and no problems with paint apps.

The 'Soundblaster' re-paint looks nice. Any release date for it?

It's a fantastic figure, I love the transformation. Brilliantly concieved. So clever how it all comes together. I don't like the headsculpt. I think they got it wrong.

I did have paint problems with mine. It's the sort of thing a lot of people probably won't notice. I can live with it. It's the paint on his backpack. Exact same deal as with Prowl, only a less noticeable colour. Hasbro often have issues with paint on transparent plastic. You don't want to rub it too much.

I suspect it would be worse if I lived in a hotter more humid climate or had sweaty hands.

    get

You had better get the first Soundwave, it is a nice toy, with all the interaction between the two, since they are just going to get harder to find, and the fact that it does not look good for some of those later Animated releases actually seeing daylight.
