Hi, I just picked up my Animated Shockwave Target exclusive. I guess hasbro QC struck, as my Shockwave had his left arm put on backwards. His forearm would bend down and not up.

Yes its a easy fix- remove 4 screws and flip, but now his fingers are lose not matter how hard I tighten them down.

Does anyone else have that same problem with the figure or was it just a freak occurrence.

Otherwise I love the figure..... here he is next to Shockblast!

The joints on my Target Shockwave are very loose, specifically the left elbow, the neck, right shoulder and leg panels. Somewhat easy to fix, but shouldn't be necessary.
Sunstorm seems like a different plastic than the original Starscream. Lighter and has a brittle-feel to it. They're both display pieces anyway, so I doubt the'll be moved much.

I'm not going to complain, though. I haven't had any other problems with Animated figures so far.

My normal Shockwave's wrists were very tight - it was causing the plastic on the wrists to twist when I tried to move them. A half-twist with a screwdriver later and they were moving properly.

Figures, the one time I get tight joints is the one time they get to be a nuisance.

Nope, my Shockwave was fine, other then getting the shoulder pegs (the ones that the forearms plug into on tank mode) were a real bitch to swing out.

My Sunstorm has some issues with the stupid autotransform gimmick. More often then not, the arms don't swing back.

I was sorely displeased when I opened my Target Shockwave today. ALL of his joints are super tight except for one. And when I say super-tight, I mean you need the strength of GOD Himself to get anything to move, especially the part where you lower his hips for Shocwave robot mode. Dear, God, they won't budge undless you freaking pull the hell out of it. same for his shockave/Longarm face. To go between the two requires some serious yanking. I don't like thia at all because it is very stressful on the toy.

The loose part is his neck. In Shockwave mode, it just flops forward making him look down. Some serious doeses of nail enamel hardener seems to have fixed this. I'll know for sure later after I let it cure over night.

I love this version of Shockwave the most. Purple is definitely his color. But I am not happy with his QC.

Apparently the Target Shockwave has that defect in more than just mine. I saw 3 with the upside down elbow on the store shelves.

And I noticed the fix is not that easy. Flipping the arm only corrects the position but the grove on the elbow piece does not fit.... So you are left with a slight gap in the forearm and a loose hand.

It's easy to spot when you buy him new and can be avoided at all cost. I returned mine and got a new one with no defects at all!

My Shockwave had a loose right arm, but I rectified that in a pinch.

Mine is fine. I gave up on quality control a long time ago. My Sunstorm looked fine in the box. Opened it up and it looked like someone had brushed white-out on one of the back stripes.

Thanks for the update and heads up, haunted-one.

It seems as if someone wanted to put this thing together in a hurry as the plastic is also jagged, etc.

    Damn shame. Cool toy...

Yeah, all four of the Target exclusives so far have used cheaper plastic than the regular figures. It's a shame since 3/4 of them are really cool.
