Cartoon Network updated their schedule regarding Transformers Animated. Originally, Episode 5 (Total Meltdown) was scheduled to air next weekend (Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th), but has now been replaced by Episode 6 (Blast from the Past). The episode to air on the 19th and 20th will be Episode 7 (Thrill of the Hunt).

There is currently no word on why Episode 5 is being skipped or if and when that missed Episode will air.

I'm getting flashbacks of "Robots in Disguise" censorings... they didn't blow up a building in this episode, too, did they?

Hope future DVDs one day get it right and it's a US release.

guess I was so excited about episode 6 that I didn't even think of the reason why they'd skip 5. That's a good point, and now I'm curious.

Not to go into detail (not allowed due to board rules) but a RID episode needed to be re-dubbed and delayed due to 9/11.

And that's ALL I'm gonna say so as not to violate any rules.

Hmm, well I'm kind of happy because I want to see episode 6 way more than episode 5.

Maybe they just felt the Dinobots episode was the stronger/better episode to air after episode 4. I honestly don't believe this is like the banning of R.I.D episodes because of sensitivity issues, but more like the original run of Batman:TAS where the finished episodes weren't aired in the proper order. Of course, Batman episodes were almost all stand-alone stories where Animated has more of a continuing storyline.

Maybe "Meltdown" is more of a stand-alone episode as the synopsis seemed to indicate. Avoiding spoilers, but wouldn't you all say "Blast From The Past" is more connected to "Home Is Where The Spark Is"?

I don't know why this is such a big deal. Shows air episodes out of sequence all the time.

Well it's not "too soon (TM)" anymore, so I doubt it. (whether or not it stopped being "too soon" to a fault is neither here nor there...like someone else implied, I will not get into politics or social commentaries)

Also, for those of you who think CN are singling out TFA, or that this is indeed a new thing in general...let me just remind you of the Injustice Gang mess in the first-run of Justice League.

yeah exactly. I would really rather see the Dbs this weekend than another freak-of the weak episode.

Why can't you go into detail? Was it some big messy conspiracy or something?

It would be wierd considering Megatron flew into a building in the movie- one that clearly had people in it.

i know that the first episode had megatron smash through a building in new york, followed by "MEGATRON! TERRORIZE!" whenever he transformed. this was aired about a week before 9/11. i don't think they aired it again, if they did it was editted though. other episode where decepticons smashed buildings weren't aired in the us, only in canada and the uk i think.

I don't understand about the lack of details with the RID episode either... I just checked the rules link on the board, and didn't see anything, unless it's considered "political"...
