So I really like the look of Animated Rodimus but that head just kills it for me. I don't really care for Animated aesthetics.

Has anyone put a more traditional head on him, or modified his existing one to be more proportional? Pictures would be awesome.

If this should be in the Radicons stuff go ahead and move it. I debated where it should go.

More traditional? Animated Rodimus only ever had one style of head. ;)

I mean a more proportional head. I love the look of the figure from the neck down but the chin makes me not buy it every time I see it.

I'm wondering if someone has modified a Rodimus to have a more normal head.

That's the way he was designed on the show, so that is a normal head for him.

a non-animated head on an animated body would look retarded.

This is why I am confused. He wants a more proportional head, but proportional to what?

Its not gonna work. I've seen pics of Generations-style heads popped into animated Blurr and Arcee and they look awful. The hard lines and rigid details really clash with the general smooth and curviness of the rest of the animated aesthetic.

I'm sorry the head is ruining it for you, you're missing out on a killer toy.

I much prefer an Animated head. Then again I love the style. But this is what you were going for right?

If you aren't a fan of the Animated aesthetic, I doubt there's a head that you could swap this one with that would make you happy.

Thanks Tiller. Yeah I was just curious if changing the head would make the figure look more like a classic figure with more human proportions. Doesn't seem that way.

I'm well aware that it is accurate to show and that's fantastic. It's always great when fans get a truly accurate figure. I just can't stand the aesthetics but want a Rodimus that is as good as his Animated counterpart. So I was seeing if I could improvise and just swap the head.

Doesn't look like it though. The neck is still way to long...

Yah I have to admit, I love rodimus but animated rodimus' head reminds me of planet of the apes. Which is a whole entire different world I'm in love with but still...

Huh? You don't like the asthetics but you want an Animated Rodimus because of how he looked on the cartoon...yet you want to change his head because you discovered you don't like the asthetic?

If you don't like the Animated style, why the hell do you want an Animated Rodimus to begin with?

No I don't want an Animated Rodimus because of how he looked in the cartoon. That statement was just saying that I'm happy for those who do like the look.

I'm tempted by Animated Rodimus because other than the head the figure looks great. A great vehicle mode, good transformation, and from the neck down a good robot mode. That head just kills it for me and I wanted to see if there was a way to make it into a figure I would like.

Is this really that hard of a concept for people to grasp?

The whole figure is an example of the Animated aesthetic, though. Transplanting the head that doesn't match the rest of the body would make the differences more noticeable.

The body is more in proportion than the rest of the head, or so it seemed to me. I'm less likely to notice and care about an arm that is a little too long than a face that is 1 1/2 times the height it should be. But this isn't the point of this topic. As I said I merely wanted to investigate how this really cool figure (with one gripe for me) would look with a more proportioned head.

I'm just bothered by the way you're phrasing it. Rodimus's head is proportioned perfectly for Animated Rodimus.

It'll probably look fine in hand. I think he looks weird in pictures too. But I love him.
