Animated Rodimus (WiP) Update-99% complete

So here I am making a brand new custom. This time it's Hot Rod from Blurr.

Update to the older thread.

I had my sister sculpt a new head crest and glued it to blurrs face.

I made his spoiler out of the top of Prowls doors and some extra styrene laying around.

I also added exhaust pipes made by using these small straws from a del taco.

Scrapped the hood becoming wings idea and went for a new set, also got major new pics.

Painting has begun, just need to pic up some yellow paint.

*update*

got new pics of basically the whole paint job. I can now declare this 99% complete. I just need to work on some details and touch-ups and I can call him complete.

Comments and criticisms would be much appreciated.

 

the rodimus head is great. i really hope you go all the way w/ the paint job and details. maybe even use some classics rodimus reprolabels for the flames. keep on keepin on. Z

So here's an update. No new photos of the toy itself but I did make my own custom stickers for him, here they are.

The first image is for the hood in vehicle mode, the other is for the chest in robot mode (the black windshield area), so use these and your imagination to visualize what Roddy will look like.

you might want to cut some off the shoulders so the vehicle mode doesnt look so pointy and the robot mode too much like blurr withe red paint...

other than that, that looks like a really good custom!!

 

Update:

New pics! I am happy to say I am 99 % done with this guy, yay! My next step is refining the details and making him look tip-top, enjoy.
