Has there been any news as to when we get it and what its gonna be like?
no and no
sorry, only thing so far was a wal mart listing
I would not be surprised if we never saw any of these new figures.
god damn it. an animated incarnation of hotrods vehicle mode would be awesome!!!!!!!!
we are getting it at some point, its in the walmart database
btw, Rodimus owns!!!!!!!! Light our darkest hour for the win!!!!!!!
Yeah, Bot-Con is the only hope for news on Animated's future and future toys.
We may never get the Arcee or Roddy.
We are definitely getting him and the other confirmed toys. However, we don't know when he, or any of the others, will be released (sometime this year), and we haven't seen any pictures of him yet. Although we have seen the show version of his bot-mode, and what we're pretty sure is his alt-mode (was a part of the April 1st picture). On a side note, I honestly don't see why people are worried. It's already been confirmed that the toy line will continue threw the rest of this year, so we will be seeing these toys eventually.
id buy it if they ever come out with one
Because a lot of us have been fans long enough to know that until we get a real confirmation, no figure is for sure.
BM, RiD, Armada, Energon, Titaniums, and many other lines have had figures that were in a store database, or we saw Hasbro press pics of them at a toy show or magazine, saw them at Botcon, and never got the figures. Even if we see them on the back of the box of released figures as a co-sell doesn't guarantee it! Not even a test shot is always enough.
Sometimes a cancelled toyline that still has developed product can be snuck into the next line, Air Attack Optimus Primal, for instance was meant for BM, but the line ended beforehand, so it was given a limited release in RiD, the next series. With the drastic differences between Animated and the movie, as well as the harsh "realism" rules for the movie banner, it seems unlikely any of the Animated figures can be stuck in there, further reducing our chances. Heck, Hasbro marketed, and produced the Seacons for a Wal-mart exclusive for the Universe line, only to have Wal-mart back out, so there were cases of production figures sitting in a Hasbro warehouse for years until Hasbro made a deal with the TFCC to release them as an exclusive to them. We saw pictures in Toy Fair of them, saw them at Botcon, saw them in the Wal-mart database, then never got them. There are also the unlucky ones, like Green Energon Megatron, Universe "Drench", and many other figures that we were supposed to get, had testshots pop up on eBay, then never got.
Entries in databases toy show digital pictures really mean nothing. That's why so many fans started getting worried when there were no real TFA figures on hand at Toy Fair.
