Got him in today along with Blackarachnia. Before we get too far into the review, let me put the argument to rest:

    Yes, it fits. :lol

Ambulance is a decent, if not EXACT, representation of his animated model. Noticabley different is the same color lights on the ambulance (two blue instead of two red). I think Prowl is the only figure that has red/blue lights on the cartoon that actually has them on the toy.

Transformation is nice, complex enough to be fun, but nothing crazy. Head reveal is a pop-up dring transformation. Robot mode is fairly accurate to the show, the shoulder panels are a little bigger, but other than that, pretty nice, I love his old man "gut."

Weapons, as seen before, can be stowed on his back, and they have little clips so that can attach to the hinge of the magnets in the palm of his hands when they're folded back. Magnets are spring loaded to flip forward and up when you push them out.

Weapons are: Screwdriver, Hammer, Can opener (?), and wrench. Someone requested action shots:

So there you have it! Animated Ratchet. I'll try to have a video up later.

Before we go, Earth mode Autobots!!

    All together!

Huh, Ratchet's actually not that much shorter then Prime, maybe there isn't a need for a Voyager version after all.

Do the add-ons store in the ambulance?

Cool. He's one that I might end up passing on, but I'll more than likely get him. Just curioius, can his weapons somehow store in alt-mode? From looking at photos of him, I don't think he can, but I could be wrong. Thanksf or the review, and I look forward to the video.

Sadly, the add-ons do not store in the ambulance. Oh well.

    very nice.

Seeing all the Animated Autobots next to each other really made me realise how small Bulkhead is.

I wasn't too sure on how many of the Animated figs I was going to get, but it looks like I may get them all...

Yeah, the leader Bulkhead would work perfectly for all those guys. Thankfully, if memory serves me, he's in the first wave with Leader class Megatron.

I'm diggin it!!....I'll be getting him too

You know, that "can opener" tool looks a lot like a tire plugging tool...

I know most people dont use plugs to fix leaks, most use patches from the inside, but for those of you that know what I'm talking about....dont it kinda look like that?

So I guess animated is bringing back the old school definition of "kibble".

Looks sweet. I am getting them all except for Voyager Bulkhead. I will wait and pick up Leader class Bulkhead because he will be better in scale with the figures.

It's pretty cool that Lockdown's EMP blaster can attach to Ratchet's arm. Interchangeable, show-related weaponry FTW!

Couldn't you lift the back portion that hides his hands just a bit and slide the tools in there? o.o

Nice review. I would like to see more of how articulated he is, by changing his pose, seeing how the knees bend, etc, instead of stiff poses standing straight up at attention. Same for Blackarachnia.

But Can Opener is more fun! You know that after a long day of fixin' bots, Ratchet likes to kick back with a tall frosty can of fuel additive. :lol
