Quick FYI post.... I've told a few people about this privately, but I thought I would pass the word along to everyone else around here.... Anyway, just like the black plastic on Lockdown's hands and the extra bit of plastic on Bumblebee's stingers that won't allow them the fold in all the way, the "crotch block" on Prowl is 100% unnecessary. In fact, it's mechanically more sound if you remove it. Said unsightly block went through a number of changes and was ultimately introduced at a point when it was believed necessary to align and lock the front wheel into place. However, a little notch on the underside of the front wheel well was added to allow everything to lock VERY snugly into place. The crotch block often prevents it from doing so and is, as I said, 100% unnecessary. It's best if you carefully go at it with a surraded steak knife (ouch!) and then use a bit of sandpaper or an emery board to remove any extra plastic and smooth everything out. Worry not, because of the matte finish, this plastic sands VERY well with no sign of tampering. So, liberate your Prowl from this hideously embarrassing robotic man lump! It makes one the best Transformers figures of all time even better. Spread the word, and good luck! Ugly camera phone Post-Op pic: .
