I received my Animated Optimus Prime (Voyager) today, and unfortunately, the water gun doesn't seem to be working. Instead of squirting out of the central hole, water seems to just seep from the sides when using it. Taking out the cannon, it seems the problem must be with the mechanism, as pulling back the small black tube, again, causes water to accumulate on the sides, instead of going out from inside the tubes.

Anyone else has this problem? Has anyone thought of a fix? The gun ins glued together, so it would be a bitch to take apart without breaking it. I'd return it... but I live in Europe and imported it from overseas.

Mine doesn't work either. Except mine doesn't seep water, it just doesn't shoot. I filled it up once, just for the hell of it. I really don't have intentions to use it again.

Ok, I tried mine and it doesn't work. However, I wasn't planning on using that feature, so it's a "meh" for me.

So it seems that it's a more common problem than I thought. I never saw it mentioned anywhere, so I assumed it was just mine.

This kind of encourages me to try and fix it, so as to post the solution for others to follow. The problem is that since the cannon pieces are glued together, they have to be forced apart and pray that they "break" at the seam or at least in some way that can eventually be repaired and concealed. I'm not exactly new at doing that, but that doesn't make me that much more comfortable...

Why would you even want to use it? When I first heard that is what it does I thought it was a lame gimmick. It just makes no sense and seems like a completely useless feature.

Umm, because it's designed for kids and kids like water guns?

We may think it's a lame gimmick, but that doesn't mean that other people will think the same. It kind of bugs me knowing that it doesn't work but oh wells.

What black tube are you pulling back exactly? You simply pump the barrel of the gun to shoot water.

The gimmick makes every bit of sense if you've seen the series. Heck, it's Prime's trademark; they even joke about it once. I'm surprised other versions of the toy don't include it.
Take out the barrel (it's simply pegged, you can pull it out easily). It's pegged to a small, thin black tube.

So I'm guessing nobody managed to fix a non-working one yet, right?

Prime is equipped with FLUDD because shooting water at the decepticons is epic!
Also it doubles as a jet pack with the axe combined. Thus it's FLUDD.
    Mine works fine.

Yeah, mine's cool too. I don't make much use of it, but I had to give it a go when I realised what it did... :p
