Ok guys, sorry it took so long but i spent some good quality time with my boy this past weekend so i didn't get a chance to render. not to mention i also have a little side project i am working on, so i do my rendering at work so it doesn't take up any modeling time. here is "hells chopper" as ezilla82 called him. robot pics to come later on tonight hopefully

Dude, Oil Slick looks really good! Did it take long to setup his chain weapon? I really like the finger designs. They look deadly.

Two things I want to point out and ask. Can we get a full body render showing the legs clearly? Also, the tires don't look like they belong on him. They look too much like car/truck tires. Doing a quick image search on google for "motorcycle tire" or "chopper tire" shows how different the treads are. That is the only thing I think you can do to make the model look better. Otherwise, everything else is very solid! I'd love to see you try to render this out in clay style. :)

And something if you want to try out. You can mess with the way his glass helmet's transparency is shown. If you pull up the render tree for the glass. Attach an incidence node to the reflection slot for the glass's material. Then in the incidence node, play with the bias and gain. What this will do is make certain parts of the helmet more transparent, and other parts less. The look changes as the camera moves, but its because it creates a more realistic transparent look, like a real glass look.

thanks for the extra pointers. I will have to play around with this setting when working on the group shot. Quick question though. when playing around with this setting, will the nodes be attached to the helmet or to the camera?

Its attached to the helmet's material. With the incidence node, you can make it so that the side of the helmet is less transparent, while the middle will be more transparent.

To me personally you did a helluva great job on Hell's Chopper Oilslick. The tires look wicked and everything about screams badass. So 'nuff said from me.

A better way of saying it would be something like this. Its awesome its awesomeness is then squared by the fact its oil slick

here is a render of the full body as requested by venksta.

Venksta, i haven't had a chance to play around with the glass dome as you suggested but i will soon.

    Yeah nice one !

I have some critics about your render. I think you can make a dome, your render will be prettier with a "smooth" background. Another thing, your render seem blurry, can you bring down the anti-aliasing ? Oh and you can rendering a better resolution, I really want to see it bigger, it's possible ?

Why do you think about that, tell me. :)

can you tell me what you mean by "smooth" background?
the aliasing min down to a neg 1 and max to a one like the tutuorials tells me. what settings would you recomend?
i'd like to see it bigger too. what resolution do you recommend?
