to reduce leader megs knock kneed look dont fully lock the outer lower leg sections in place, if you have them out a bit it means his knees arent quite lined up but it reduces that 'afraid of optimus' look.

...it does work. Heh, who knew?

There is one plus side to him being as is, he can make some terrific battle poses.

I just don't put his legs close to together and move the feet a bit.

I have my Leader Megs posed quite menacingly right now, and I don't even notice the knock-knee thing going on.

I don't know, maybe because of the ratchets, but mine seems to hold a nice menacing standing pose just fine without needing to take a "wide stance" like that. Personally, that side swivel joint on his ankles is genius, he can pull so many great poses and still have both feet firmly planted on the ground.

Well, after going over some of the BotCon and SDCC panel information, it makes sense that Megatron looks knock-kneed.

The gimmicks of the show and line are: transformation (first and foremost), their weapon(s), and...their stance.

Take a look at any of the promotional artwork (try TF wikia, has the best shots available) and you'll notice that Megatron's toy *can* make the pose shown.

Optimus does the same in his promotional art and it fits.

These are meant to be played with, and posed.

It's amazing how much like the cartoon, they really are.

I still like the idea that you can push the knees away like the O.P. shows, but the dynamic pose of the promo art really comes to life in plastic.

Hasbro pulled off a miracle, they actually reached into the TV and pulled the characters out, in the flesh. (so to speak)

That's a monumental task, and they pulled it off flawlessly.
