    Can they be removed?

Mine seem to be stuck in there.

I'm hoping to remove at least one so he can wear DOTM Ironhide's cannon.

Can they? Sure! Rarely is "never" used here

How one goes about that would be a different discussion . . . .

You are right of course. But I'm interested in a way that doesn't involve cutting. I'm still a novice and I like to do non permanent mods for the moment.

You mean you want to remove the missiles, or the middle piece that actually holds the two missiles?

    The middle piece.

the missiles themselves pop out fine on my figure.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the piece can pop out. Mine doesn't and I don't want to use too much force and break it if it's not capable of just being pulled out.

The middle piece is held on by a capped pin (I made an Animated Menasor using Bulkhead as Motormaster, during which I removed that part). You have to unscrew the arm, and inside pull find the end of the pin. Use a soldering iron to heat up the plastic around it (not too much, don't melt it) and then pull on the piece until it comes off.

Yes, this is a one-way mod, you won't be able to go back as the soldering iron has to melt the plastic slightly to allow enough room for you to pull the part out. Yes, it is annoying, and also slightly dangerous (I got my dad to do it for me, as he's way more skilled with the soldering iron that I am).

Well this is beyond my current skill level but at least I know what the layout is now. Thanks!

This would be sometime like removing the pin to separate the weapons on RID Ultra Magnus weapons pack. Right?
