    Hey All!

Rhis project actually started back in August, right after by Thundercracker repaint. It seemed to be going fine, then for some reason I don't quite remember now, he got left in paint thinner for about 3 months.

Fortunately, when I cleaned him up a while back, I found that the plastic wasn't completely dried out; just strained, and the paint was really haggard. So, I decided to get a new animated prime figure (I needed a new head for him anyway. TIP: Never bake a balljointed neck with the head's weight on it!)

So, anyway, for this guy I figure I want him to be older (say mid 40's - early 50's equiv.), without being too old, so I'm going to mix in a lot of these strained parts (original) with some of the new (replacement parts over years n years of fighting). This way, I should be able to achieve his beat up look from G1 (note the chest pic - that big crack in the middle will just be lightly recoated)

Hopefully it turns out better this time! CnC welcome!

It's showing as green in the photos. Is that accurate? Intrigueing project. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah - I am freshening up the paint on most of the parts (some were completely white). I'll get some better light on it next time i do photos.

It's kind of hard to visualize Kup with all his pieces apart, but I like the conceptual reasoning behind to mix of new and worn parts even if the worn parts were only accidental. I'll be watching for updates.

This should be cool. I think the color is a little too green, though, should be a bluer teal if you're shooting for accuracy. If not, nothing wrong with it. :)

Yeah, I can't stand the blue-ish color, and the internets provided my with a picture of a green Kupp, which is where I got the color from.

I'll try to find it again and post it in here later today.
