Well, everybody in the house has a mug except for me. Which is very weird. So instead of going out and buying a dumb mug with an obligatory "Best whatever in the world" title, I made my own. I had some clay and access to some glazes and a kiln. Sculpted it entirely by hand, glazed it entirely by hand. Glaze certainly is a weird beast to work with since it changes colors in the kiln, plus it's a bit challenging to get the right amount in certain spots though. Overall, the only thin spots in the glaze were in the face, and they weren't as bad as I'd imagined. I decided to paint the back of it pink because in the show it appeared as grey sometimes and pink other times. Pictures were taken in the standard household setting as opposed to a nice background so You could get a sense of the coloring in its natural environment, although the camera washed the colors out a bit. I used nontoxic lead free materials so I could actually drink from it. Not bad for a n00b, I suppose.

Damnit, i was going to say that. Oh well, every Headmaster thread is obliged to have that in it somewhere! :lol

Anyways, i really like hit mug, and i'm glad you chose the pink back instead of gray (makes it more uniform and therefore aesthetically pleasing imo).

I only have one criticism: It's upside down. What you should've done is have the face the other way up, so that you could actually put it over something and have the mug control whatever machine you attached it to. As it is, if you tried that you'd end up with an upside down head. :lolol

Would be a little harder to drink from if he turned it upside down--kidding.

Pretty darn nice, especially for your first pottery project!! You are so right about the glazes that are different colors when fired and sometimes all your hard work will crack in the kiln, so for a noobie not too bad at all..I would have made it larger tho, need a big jolt of caffeine some mornings! :lol

Thanks for the kind words everybody! Really appreciated! As for the size of it... well, I don't drink coffee (BLASPHEMY!), but I do drink Pepsi Max, A LOT, which is just as bad, haha. I guess the smaller serving will help me cut down. :p
