When you take a quick look at Animated Voyager Megatron, what do you see? I see a highly underrated figure. Highly poseable, lots of ratchets, and great light piping. And then I see the cannon, and I see why he's underrated . So, I decided to do something about it (and to repaint him, while I was at it). Animated Galvatron was made from Animated Voyager Megatron (of course), while using the peg and hole system from Movie Wreckage's arm for the cannon. The toy still transforms just fine, but you have to take off the cannon from his arm and use the two small pegs on the front to peg it on the vehicle mode (obviously, this isn't too secure, but it works so long as you don't pick him up by the cannon).
Well, the mod is very good, but i think some extra sanding could have made the joint blend in more... Otherwise, I really like this. The shade of purple is great for Galvatron.
I'd like to see some additional modding to the head to make him look just a tad more like Galvatron. Aside from that, I really dig this one
Thanks for the comments, everyone! To answer some questions: @Treadshot A1: I'll probably end up fixing the arm, but the residue on the cannon prevents the peg from going in all the way, in case the peg breaks off (happened once before with weaker glue- good thing Wreckage has two arms). @cyclonus666: I used Tamiya Color purple acrylic paint. As for alt mode, I'll try to get a picture up later today. @Superquad7: Now that you mention it, he could use a head crest. I may do something about that.
I knew that this would catch on... http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/208789-improved-animated-galvatron.html You May or May not have been aware that I pioneered the use of an Animated Voyager Megatron for Galvy, but you certainly improved this mould better than I did. All I did was paint. Great Job.
I was unaware of your custom, though I would've been surprised if I was the only one to see Galvatron in this mold. Great minds think alike, I suppose
