This is actually really useful information when comparing the dimensions of these figures. People complain how small snarl and bulkead are but they are some of the heaviest figures in their size classes. So that means they cost more to produce (at least cost of goods wise) and ship. A little perspective is always good. An I don't thinking weighing them is any weirder then doing photo spreads, repainting, dusting, or any of the other crap we all do with toys.
Well, while I do have a lot of free time, this only took like 15-20 min. Hell, I wasted more time putting Classics back in their boxes to make room for Animated on my shelf. I mean, all I have to do is put the postal scale down, put the figure on it, boom, weight. And yeah, that's what gave me the idea, people talking about how they thought Bulkhead and other figures looked too small. It's not actually the size of the figure in terms of length or height, it's how much it weighs that basically sets its size class. Or at least factors into it, considering Starscream isn't even 1 lb heavier than Deluxe Cybertron Optimus. But it gives you a range at least.
