My favorites are Sentinel Prime, Lockdown, Blitzwing, Grimlock, Bumblebee, Shockwave... too many great figures to choose from. If you have an "Aldi" grocery store around, check there. They had Swindle, Blazing Lockdown, and Blurr for $4.99 each.

    Deluxes:
    Ratchet
    Blurr
    Samurai Prowl
    Sentinel Prime
    Swindle

    Voyagers:
    Shockwave
    Optimus Prime

If you can still find them, I'd also recommend the Battle Begins two pack.

I'd say a lot depends on your preference on size versus quantity (i.e. would you rather throw down on one leader class figure or three deluxe classes). I'd say my favorites by size class are as follows:

Deluxe: Blurr, Lockdown, Soundwave, Samurai Prowl, Jazz
    Voyager: Shockwave, Wreck-Gar, Blitzwing, Grimlock
Leader: Ultra Magnus (my personal favorite of the line), Megatron

I haven't really come across an animated figure I don't like though...these are just the ones that stand out a little more to me for various reasons.

    All of them.

Okay, my favs as far as Deluxes are Swindle, Sentinel Prime, Bumblebee and such.

Voyagers I'd go for Lugnut, deffinately. Shockwave, too. I don't own Wreck-Gar, and might not unless Hasbro Canada smartens up, but he looks good. There's also Voyager Prime.

Leaders, you'd want Megs and Bulkhead, deffinately.

I've bought a handful over the past year, but the only one I've kept is deluxe Prime from the 2-pack. He's terrific.

I also thought the twins were good, but not enought to keep them.

    Shockwave for Voyager, maybe Starscream
    Ultra Magnus for Leader
Deluxes - Blurr, Lockdown, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet, Cybertron Op, Prowl (either version)whatever you like there's not much to go wrong with here.

Watch a few video reviews, Vangelus has done quite a lot of TFA ones.

Leader Megatron is my favorite of about 15 different Megatrons/Galvatrons that I own. His transformation is pretty simple, but you get a detachable arm cannon that can be applied to either arm as well as two swords for Animated bad-assery, plus a G-1 color scheme that all equals WIN to me.

As for Deluxes, and to continue the Decepticon lovin, Black Arachnia, Oil Slick and Lockdown are my three favs. BA and Oil Slick have mad posability; Oil Slick is the best motorcycle transformer I've ever owned. Plus, as a fun bit of silliness, you can get Black Arachnia to 'ride' Oil Slick in alt mode. Not an offical transformation aspect, but fun for play value. Let us all know who you get!

As I posted in the main Animated Thread. Thats a very tough question as I love them all. But I would get Blurr, Samuri Prowl, Waspinator, and Swoop. Ultra Magnus or Leader Megs is a good choice then you could choose 1 or 2 of the others I listed as well.

    Who's your favorite character?

Pick that one. And then pick up Voyager Optimus Prime. While I don't collect Animated myself, I do believe that Optimus Prime is a must-have no matter the Transformer line.

Hmm... Well, I have just about every animated figure out there... If I had a price range of 60 bucks, and could only get figures within that budget, I'd get...

    Deluxe Lockdown
    Deluxe Blurr
    Voyager Grimlock
    Voyager Shockwave

Honestly, save for maybe a couple figures, you really can't got wrong with any of the Animated line, especially if you dig the aesthetic.

    Ebay:
    Deluxes: Blurr and Swoop
    Voyagers, Prime, Grimlock and Shockwave
    Leaders: Ultra Magnus and Megatron

Blurr's my favorite of the deluxes; Grimlock and Prime are great renditions of both characters, Shockwave is real fun (you can get too and leave one as Long Arm) and Magnus and Megs have all the bells and whistles.

I like the Seeker mold too but I know some people have had issues with the Starscream and Skywarp Voyagers and there've been some paint issues with the Sunstorm twopack.
