I don't watch the latest Animated Series, but I really like some of the figs from that line. All I have from that line is Supreme Prime, Voyager Wreck-Gar (although he seems closer to deluxe size if you ask me), Deluxe Soundwave & Bee, and the SS activator.

My TF purchases are based on what I think looks cool. I don't focus on having all of one line or anything. So I was just looking for any "must have" animated suggestions from anyone who cares to share their thoughts on the animateds.

Shockwave and Blitzwing both look pretty good, so they might be in my collection in the near future.

If you just want to buy what looks cool to you, why ask for suggestions? Various people will name various toys, until all Animated toys have been named (except Voyager Megatron  )...just get a list of all the toys that exist, and decide which ones appeal to you!  

Personally, I think so many of them are awesome.

 

I'd say Blurr. Look into that beautiful, sexy blue robot.

 

Hmm.. Because I'm trying to kill the last hour of work, because this is a TF toy discussion board, and because I like to hear from the peeps!

...there have been plenty of times that I think a fig looks cool and then a friend will give some feedback like, "Nope, he looks cool in alt mode, but he's extremely top-heavy in robot mode and very tough to pose." ..and vice versa.

If you have an animated line fig that you'd suggest getting, suggest it. Otherwise, what's the point in discussing TF's.

And I'm assuming Voyager Megs is not suggested based on your post.

I'd like to suggest Black Arachnia. I don't own her, but from pics alone I love that figure. I'll probably pick her up at my comic shop, last time I was there she was marked $5.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I see one knock against Blitzwing in this thread, and numerous in the animated poll thread, so maybe I should cross him off.

 

i actually really like blitz. i mean he has his limitations, but i mean even in the show the looked a lil funny with his blocky shaped tank/plane thing...but im glad i picked mine up. and i switch his face around and match his pose to whicheve face is ...faced out

 

He is ok it is just that there are better figures which you should get first.

Pretty much. Spring for Samurai Prowl if you can get him, and Blurr too. Awesome figs.

 

Shockwave, Leader Megs, Magnus, Blurr, Swindle and Samurai Prowl are all toys I recommend without hesitation. Lugnut and Voyager Bulkhead are ingenious despite their size issues. Oil Slick and Blackarachnia are very nice in their own way. I personally love Blitzwing to pieces, though, and think you shouldn't leave him out.

 

Shockwave and Leader Megatron are awesome. I'd also recommend Grimlock, Jazz, Prowl, and Deluxe Prime. Lockdown's pretty cool too.

 

Shockwave/Longarm (Purple one, if you can find him) and Ultra Magnus are awesome. Don't dismiss Voyager Bulkhead just because he's small. He's actually one of my favorites from the line. Leader Megatron is a bit too simplistic in his transformation, but in my opinion, no other Megatron looks cooler.

 

TO be honest Blitzwing gets knocked more than he deserves. the figure only has a couple of minor flaws really

The hips - if they could have been closer or adjustable rather than the wide leg stnce that would have been great.
The head twist gimick - the dial in the back of the head just doesn't work properly
The Canons - the can't point over his shoulders with out moddification. Apart from that hes great

And as for the leader class figs I'd rather have had a bit more articulation/transformation than the sound/light and mouth/eyebrow/head move gimick

 

my favorite toy in the TFA line is prowl, he's just a sublime piece of design and has one of the most satisfyingly slick transformations ever.

soundwave has a guitar, which is incredibly cool, even though he is a short fat midget and blackarachnia is the best looking fembot toy ever produced.

the whole line is absolutely fantastic, so you can't really go wrong.
