I've had a go at making the Autobot Clones fit into the Animated universe. The Animated line and storyline had quite a few references to original ideas, but this one was left out.

Both Clones are made from Animated Jetfire. Fastlane has wheels and axles replacing the flaming wings, and Cloudraker has new solid wings borrowed from a Star Wars Crossover figure. Fastlane also has a spoiler, while Cloudraker got an exhaust nozzle.

They're both from Jetfire, So they can't actually combine.

he said they are both from Jetfire, so I doubt the merge would work. :(

good job for your first try. I would like to see more to make them look closer in bot mode though.

    Turned out pretty nice.
Personally, I would have like to have seen you cover the stock white with Beige
& add some more in the way of detailing.
I'm kinda wondering why you used 2 Jetfire's though?

Digging that Indy car. You should paint him yellow and give him a mean face. Animated Dragstrip anyone?

I was thinking something similar about a mold for animated Dragstrip just recently - I have to say, the Clone idea is brilliant and executed extremely well!

Nice! :thumb  These TFA figures are such a perfect fit for the clones that you'd swear HasTak had these guys in mind for future repaints. What if they were future Botcon exclusives? :O

Good job. Not a fan of the front wings on Cloudraker, but that's just me. Fastlane is epic, though, and i wouldn't mind an animated Dragstrip.

Strange, this almost looks rushed a little bit. I've compared what is done here to what NP has done on his so far, and it looks as if maybe you were inspired by what he's already doing and wanted to hurry up and post yours first.

Nice job on these guys all around :)

Do they still combine together or no?. :thumb

I hadn't actually thought of using this mould for Dragstrip, but seeing as I have two leftover Jetstorms, a Dragstrip might just be in the offing.

'NP'='Nemesis Predaking' I presume. I knew I'd seen that somebody else was working on this somewhere, but these were underway before then. I think his will be more elaborate with more modifications, and I'm quite looking forward to seeing them.

As a few of you have surmised, they don't combine. I used two Jetfires to reduce the painting--in turn to reduce the difficulties in transformation. I found that after the modifications were made, the waist section split (for Safeguard) was looser than the main hip joints, so it tended to happen a lot, leaving them looking wonky. Since Safeguard was off the table, I fused their waist sections together.

Thank you all for your responses and ideas.

    Cheers,
    Dischord
