Robot mode looks all right but the Jet mode looks awful. Hopefully the tank looks a lot better and hopefully this is only a prototype
Guys, all the people pissing his jet mode - it's obviously mistransformed. I'm pretty certain the tank threads can be moved upwards,and the upper portion of the treads 'opened up', thus the jet will have much less belly kibble. They had to make him a triple-changer. That's what went wrong. I can't see this being made any better. The tank mode should look better with all the bulk and even though the jet is mistransformed (The cannons hanging off the back) the jet is appropriate for what it's supposed to be. I'm amazed it looks as good as it does. Though it does look as thgough the tank treads can fold up above his arms, not to mention the tail fins and cannons are drooping down so obviously something's wrong back there. Still, it may not look uber-fantastic, but I'm still getting it. Why? Because it looks like a damn fun toy. Still, even all nubby like that he still looks like the show. Maybe they wanted him to be stumpy? Actually, I think it would be the exact opposite. If, for instance, they pack him in jet mode and this is a deluxe, he could easily be almost as tall as a Voyager. (not like how tall Lockdown is, but maybe a little shorter than Voyager Megs)
Hmm I liked it enough I might just MIGHT include him into my Classics universe. I havent decided to pick up on the animated line yet, even though Blitzwing, Optimus, Megatron, and Bulkhead are beggin me to buy them.
It's got its flaws, but I like it. What they said about having it fit in with the Classics/Universe line sounds about right, actually.

i think this pretty much confirms that it is a voyager.....you see it's arms look about the same as grimlock's in a way, and he just screams voyager by that bulk but i really doubt that everyone is going to say "it looks like a deluxe" until the day it comes out
This is a prototype…can’t be a polished version of the toy. It will always be in robot mode or unopened if it is.
Looking at the screws in his arm and legs, and just all over his body, I'm more than certain this is a Voyager.
$300? WOW. No thank you. Props to you but after your review of Tankor glad I never jumped on any of those and now seeing these pics of Blitzwing I can easily wait for release. Also I hope it is proto. Kind of disappointed the cockpit is just painted, his jet mode looks really small and smashed. Also I am pretty sure his forearms are the same as Starscream minus the gimic. After looking at his faces they do not match the show at all. Ill still get him but not this early.
I fail to see the appeal of this figure (or the whole Animated toy line for that matter). Animated Blitzwing reminds me of Man-e-faces from He-man. Except that Man-e-faces was a cooler looking toy. For those of you who are getting enjoyment from this line, I envy you. I'm really trying hard though to get into Animated - but it just doesn't turn me on. I really wish they would have done a cartoon using Binaltech/Alternators - more of an adult manga style thing. Those are the coolest TFs ever.
Looks just fine to me, love this character. Maybe I will collect animated after all, the only thing stopping me is $$
