I didn't mind Animated Bee, but he did walk dangerously close to crossing the line of being straight-up annoying in the first season. By the the third season, I thought he was pretty hilarious.
Bee could be annoying, but he was a good character. He was the bonding character to Sari, friends with Bulkhead, and sometimes funny.
Bumblebee is pretty much the last character who should ever be considered for the 'badass' role. If Bumblebee is a badass, you're doing it wrong. Besides, Movie Bumblebee is a total dork. He likes dancing to Pointer Sisters.
Animated BB annoyed the hell out of me and it seemed at least a quarter of the episodes centered around him too.
I hated TFA Bumblebee, he was annoying. Probably my least favorite character in the whole show next to that human that kept going "total ownage n00b"
Animated Bumblebee's personality was not only good, the other characters around him played off his personality well. There was personal conflict between the Autobots, something we don't see in Prime except for Ratchet's grumpiness.
He got on my nerves a bit, but I think he was okay. It was a character you didn't see a whole lot. Sure Hot Rod played it first, but he barely did any of it before becoming Rodimus and moving away from it.
I much prefer a BB who talks to mcuh to a BB who can't talk at all. It's like a barely recognize the character who used to be my favorite anymore. At least TFA got it right that BB is a SMALL COMPACT. I'm just not into beeping muscle car BB at all. Imho Dan Gilvezan BB > Bumper Robinson BB >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> silent/beeping BB The fact that TFA BB won't shut up in deliberate contrast to Bay/TFP BB makes me love him all the more.
