So I was inspired by Kylash's Autorooper, and had to do my first team build. This is the prototype repaint using just krylon fusion. Came out okay, need to do a clean and respray of the chest sheild ( hence no sticker, not happy with it yet) I luckily picked up a JUNKER autorooper for his head. Only downside is I need to shave 1/16th of an inch off both sides for the rack canopy to have clearance. I'm in the process of figuring out how to cast (thank you radicons how to section!) it as I have 4 other donor ratchets i want to teambuild.

Only cellphone pics, just moved and haven't set up a light box for proper shooting yet.

    For now, Enjoy!

You need to get rid of the black stripes above the windshield. That's suppose to be the windshield itself. It's not actually black, either. You can see the exact same thing in the shots of younger Ratchet.

Other than that one thing, it looks fantastic.

Will do, I'm having some difficulties with the casting material I got. it's kinda like rubber cement, and has to dry between layers. I'm hoping to have a good cast by weeks end. In the meantime, i'm using this little guy to find rub problems and paint issues...and trust me there are a few, hence no alt mode pics just yet. I'll keep you guys posted.

Yeah that's actually just electrical tape. I was just playing around and thought it looked interesting, It probably won't make the final design.

Im actually casting a head for Kylash right now. Molds done, just need to go pick up my casting from my shop....he's going to get it by the end of the week.

it's surprising how well that stock head works on cyb ratchet huh? like you said, it needs a little trimming to fit, but it's the right size and everything.

    Randy!

I actually don't mind the stripes, I think it makes it look more accurate since the windshield on the toy doesn't look like it does on the show. I'd change the headlights blue and his visor blue if you want to make it more accurate but I still think it looks great!
