    Its most likely the price of the toys plus shipping overseas which is expensive.

    Well, it looks like he is catering this to the overseas folks who have no other options at all, aside from eBay, to buy the U.S. versions of these figures. There is a small mark-up on both the figures (after tax) and the shipping, but it's basically pretty close to retail and could help those in countries other than the United States.
