    Hi Guys,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I made some new hands/forearms that can be used with the Animated Arcee figure. The model was designed to grip 5mm pegs which is standard for most current deluxe scale transformer weapons. Pictured below is the Add-On set holding deluxe Arcee's blaster from the Transformers Prime Robots in Disguise (RID version). The figure is fully transformable with the new hands attached. Like the standard hands that came with the figure, the connector at the top of each new forearm fits "very" securely onto the figure, allowing the set to rotate a full 360 degrees. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post and I will be sure to respond promptly.

If you are interested in my work and would like to see more of my designs please check out the characters below and click on the corresponding links to explore. And please don't forget to visit my Shapeways store by clicking the link just below my signature.

    Cheers!!

Oh my goodness! I see this literally right after I finished sawing off my RID Arcee's hands and attaching them to my Animated. Wow, but this looks really good! Perfect for anyone looking to convert her to Classics. Hmm...do I sense a head coming with these, perchance?

    Thanks for the support!

Yikes!! Sorry about that. Well, if the mod doesn't work out you can always pick up a set. It'd be much appreciated. I'm a big fan of the Classics line so I went that route in hopes that some customizers would use it to create a G1 inspired Arcee. (Hint Hint)

Definately Classics. With regards to another head...no comment, yet. As for Apex, he would definitely look good on that Drift/Blurr mold.

Wow been waiting for someone to do a good pair of hands for her. I've been wanting to do a proper classics Arcee. Hope you make a head too. I just got your Junkion and Chromia from shapeways amazing how much detail you put in these. But the hands will have to wait until I want something else from Shapeways. Hope to see more.

I've been after others to do this, anything you can do about the elbows?? My plan is to make her my classics Arcee, she's already got the Uuser head that he did.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the elbows either and did think about designing something more aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately the elbows are connected to the panels that create the back of her alt mode. In order to recreate something that would work, it would require very precise measurements with a lot of trial and error to get a proper fit. Since I don't have a rapid prototyping machine readily available, it'd be rather costly and time consuming. I hope that Hasbro eventually releases their Arcee pictured below or at least something similar to it. I personally think we are long overdue for a proper classics Arcee.

Also, I've seen a couple heads folks have made for that mold, but which one is Uuser's head?

Yeah thats nice. His design works well for that mold as it still has an "animated" quality to it that is abundantly present in that figure. I hope you pick up the hands I designs, and I'm sure it would only enhance that figure and his set. If you do, please post pics.

BTW keep an eye out for my soon to be released "ORACLE" head design. I'm sure you will find a good use for it.

Can't wait to see it painted up. We need more classic Arcees or just MORE fembot.

Good idea. And the support is appreciated man.

Yes, I designed the hands to grip the standard 5mm pegs utilized by most modern TF weapons.

Thanks man!! I love the paint up you did on Tempest and Metal Head. And I really appreciate you letting me use your pics to show my designs off in color.

If the new stuff your working on looks half as good as the two you did, I've got nothing to worry about. Can't wait to see what you have in store.

I really like those. Is it possible to get new elbows too that don't have all the transformation kibble? You'd have the change them out to transform, but I've been thinking about doing that lately.

    Thanks man.

With regards to the elbows, I've looked into it, but it'd mean redesigning the plates that form the back of her alt mode. I'd need very precise measurents and there would be very little room for error to get a good fit. So basically it'd end up being alot of trial and error and right now that'd be too time consuming and costly for me. Sorry.

I know it'd be a lot of work but I think it'd pay off in the long run between that and your arms alot of people would start upgrading there Animated Arcee I think. Maybe even redesign it so that the elbow is a ball joint instead of a swivel.

Actually, was I was looking at are new elbows that don't allow for proper transformation, but slim, double jointed things. I want to stick her arms in a coat.
