Seriously. My Dying Bride. The newer stuff especially. The older stuff they got stuck in the quasi-death metal screaming thing and it just didn't work. But later on they mellowed just enough to put a melancholy vibe to everything they did.
Sometimes when really depressed I'll play Fiona Apple's Tidal. To me that is one of the saddest albums.
I eat. A lot. I listen to music when I'm not depressed and working. Recently I've found this 90's japanese band called Princess Princess and I've been listening to everything I can find from them.
Smashing Pumpkins rule man! I listen to all forms of music, but if you want to be depressed and have some depressed music, listen to the Swans. They will get you right.

Ween FTW! They're from my area and Gene's ex girlfriend used to be the art teacher at Neshaminy Middle School. A buddy of mine took a class with her while she was still with Gene and she missed half the school year to go on tour ha.
I can only say that TON is absolutely self aware that they really do suck...thats the whole point! Its supposed to be funny! They are talented though...As for the other bands...well your just wrong. Gabe, James played with Ryan! Never new that! Awesome! On a side note the Flaming lips, Wilco, and Smashing Pumpkins(with new members) are touring this summer. I plan to see all of them!
