Heatwave never really stops sucking. Great support character...especially when trying to hit off far targets.

No problems with Toon TV here...I'm playing on an iPhone 5...

One of my favorite characters is Galvatron. His weapon fires a single precise shot that bring down any fort if placed right, by level 4 it is very powerful. Only downside is that it has to be reloaded every few shots.

 

Now that've played with an upgraded Sentinel, he's much more powerful then Heatwave.

 

Anyone think what character the Mighty Eagle might be if they ever did put him in the game?

I bet Omega Supreme.

 

Game is glitching bad. Anytime I transform the screen turns black with a faded red circle and it comes back if I shoot enough or if I call in help. Then if I'm able to finish, Astrotrain doesn't appear and my character disappears while a view of the sky is shown with Astrotrain's sound effects.

 

Man, I love this game. Can't put it down. Love all the little things they threw into it.

And that is the downside. Fell for that too, pretty much a ripoff. C'est la vie, as they say.

Who here thinks that Ironhide would've been a better choice for Terence?

Yeah, that's happened to me as well. Only this time it never changed back to the game, so I had to reset the app.

I'm kinda surprised how fun this game is. Kinda strange, too, how Bludgeon and Ultra Magnus come in super-early in the game. I'd expected them to have the main characters unlockable first and the repaints come later.

 

Ugh I have a very hard stage to do with heatwave

 

Try turning into vehicle mode to dodge attacks. It also gets you through the level faster.

And upgrade when you can.

 

This is my favorite transformer game ever, and hell if I can understand that.

 

Man, this game is pretty difficult, but I'm enjoying it far more than I did the original AB.

My latest unlock was Ultra Magnus, and I'm currently grinding to get everyone to at least Lv. 6; does this sound about right, or should I be unlocking other stages first?

Also, does anyone have tips for dealing with missile barrages with Heatwave? His laser can't hit them in time, and he's too slow to dodge them in truck mode. I can EMP some of them out of the way, but I usually can't find enough buildings to turn into energon cubes to recharge in time.

 

The economy starts to break down and show its roots as a mobile game later on, but if you've got the patience to do all your upgrading up front, it will certainly help.

 

ive been unlocking as many stages as possible because some of the areas the eggbots no longer rebuild and the longer you wait the more coins you can get. i play on and off through the day after a time those will max out at 400 coins by the time you come back. the more coins the better to upgrade and i just use the crystals to intercept the levels sometime or speed up the recharge time.

but again i play on and off and usually enough time has passed my recharges or upgrades are finished.

also getting other ppl to play with you and them thanking you gets you coins and crystals as well. so having a partner with heatwave is great as they will focus on flyers.

 

Yeah, I'm just hesitant to link my FB account to this game; I don't want to accidentally start spamming my feed with "Tux Chaos X's Ultra Magnus was upgraded!" or whatever  

 

I fully anticipated this game to be a sucky, gimmicky cash grab.

But I am fully willing to admit that I was wrong, and it is actually an awesome, gimmicky cash grab. One of the best free games on my iPad. Too bad the freemium structure really starts hindering you once you get like, five characters unlocked. Just way too much to keep up with in the little bit of time you actually have to play. But fun as heck.
