So, first of all. Get out of the thread if you haven't read it yet and don't want it ruined? Gone? Kay, lets getter dun'. So I was FREAKING BLOWN AWAY. I honestly loved it. I've read all the Buffy/Angel comics released by now and I've never read Angel so perfectly characterized. I was never a fan of the Angel stuff from Dark Horse and even the IDW stuff I read in trade form was very fun, but very boring. Luckily I picked up Shadow Puppets and was introduced to Brian Lynch there ( I went back and grabbed Spike Asylum). I was riveted. There wasn't a page nor panel that didn't scream, "Angel is back and it's f'ing perfect". It trounced Buffy: Season 8's first, well, 9 issues thus far. It had "adjusted" Connor, Nina the Werewolf, Gwen Raiden, Angel and Gunn with a truly HOLY SHIT moment. Poor Wesley... Easily the best book I've read this year. Fan Buffy/Angel/Spike? Get it now. Do. Go on. We'll wait. Not a fan? You will be. The book is pretty easily accessible and a joy to read. I'm hoping some more of you read and enjoyed it as well.
