I got an Android honeycomb tablet and I need some app reccomdations. I have an iPhone, and so I'm familiar with their app store. It looks like a lot of the games and stuff are more expensive than iTunes, which kinda sucks. So what apps are worth my money and/or time?

These are all the free apps I strongly reccomend
Tunein Radio (shoutcast stations as well as local radio)
QQ Player (plays just about every video type and codec out there)
OpenSignal (test local cell and wifi connections, speed test, mapping of signal location)
WifiScanner (Scan for in-range wifi signals)
QuickSettings (quick access to all phone settings, inclusing teathering and wifi hotspotting)
GasBuddy (find local gas stations along with pricing)
SoundHound (find out what song you are hearing, or just humm the tune)

Be sure to get the Amazon App store. They have a free normally charged app every day.

Well I have two games that I play on my phone. I'm not sure how they would be on a tablet but they are the G1 tf game and contract killer(I pretend its a Golgo 13 game and it amuses me lol). Give them a try.

Great thread, I was just about to post something similar. What brand/model tablet did you get?

I wanted to second this. Got some great games for free from that. Age of Zombies, Peggle, Gun Bros.

I got an Acer Iconia A500. I really like it. It's a little slow with typing, but otherwise it's great.

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. Keep them coming!

Excellent choice. If I recall, the Iconia has the same hardware as the Xoom, but at a lower pricepoint.

Also, I've read that you can cure the typing lag by installing an alternative browser like Opera. Haven't tried this, so I can't confirm.

My Xoom should be here in two days, I've been reading a shitload of info on it. I plan on rooting it and delve in the world of overclocking :D
