Andrew Wildman has posted an update on his blog with some pencils from the Transformers Movie Comic's third issue, starring Ratchet, a favourite character of his. He's also colouring this one.

brilliant. I really hope that if Titan can't offer US subscriptions that IDW will begin reprinting these new strips.

I like how he's toned down the parakeet-face. Dynamic!

Cool drawings, but it doesn't even look like Ratchet from the movie. It could be ANY movie bot, or a drone, the only thing that gives it away is the feet and the ankle mechanics. Its simplified a little too much and is missing alot of design cues. From the back, it almost looks like G1 optimus Prime. But I imagine color will help.

I wonder if that is Ratchets battle mask though... the face bugs me.

People complained that the movie TF's didnt look enough like the source material, but I'm transferring that argument over here to this comic :p

Also, why are Ratchet and that power suit guy doing an "ET touch" with their penis-shaped lasers?? :)

I am going to say something now that I felt like I could say before , MOSTLY BECAUSE this new pages shown are awesome

Andy................... your work on the original Marvel Transformers comics and marvel GI JOE is some of my favorites, along with Don you are the 2 best for Transformers. and the best for GI JOE ...........................going by your original Marvel work.

But I got to admit, when I saw your Dreamwave stuff and then the recent Devils due Joe vs tf crossover I was seriously bummed, It was bad. just bad and was not the andy wildman I knew.

but now that I see these new pages.............WOW you still have it man, its sooooo good to see you back in true form.

I dont know what happened on those other two but they were pitiful to say the least and only now can I say that publicly knowing that you still are the best and are awesome!

now can we get more GI JOE STUFF FROM YOU at this quality????

maybe titan can get the Action Force title ????

I'll be honest. I wasn't the biggest fan of the initial artwork from the first issue. This on the other hand, is great. I mainly just chalked it up to getting used to drawing the movie designs. He seems to have taken to it quickly.

I like it a lot, but is it just me or Wildman's Ratchet looks more like "Concept Drawing Ratchet" than "Movie Ratchet"?

OMG! OMG! Wildman and DON are Transformers!!!! What are their alt modes? :D

Nice! I love Wildman's stuff. The best of the Marvel run.

I especially love his faces. The fleshy/metal living look is AWESOME, and so distinct to Wildman alone.

The reason it does not looks exactly like movie Ratchet can be easily explained away. This must be his pre-earth form since it is set before the Movie.

That said, good stuff Andrew Williams! He's still got it!
