    Breakaway

No news on what the toy it’s going to be yet, other than one of the E combiner basics. Pete announced it on the club forums today in the form of a contest which club forum member Swifteagle won.

Sorry if this has been posted before I couldn't see it anywhere though.

I'm going for the bulldozer myself, the crane is pretty much the most loathed Energon limb (though I like it quite a bit, myself), and the peoples in charge of putting these toys together likely know this.

Has there ever been a Transformer named Windbreaker?

As in, one who breaks wind?

sheeesh. for how much club members have to pay you'd think we'd get more than repaits of molds that are just getting older each year.

yeah, that's lame. it could atleast be a full combiner set. or at the very least the deluxe sized member. i mean, what's the point of one combiner limb?

you do realize that they release one limb EVERY YEAR, so that in the end you WILL have a complete combiner?

There has indeed been a Windbreaker, he's from G1.

The last 2 years of free club figures have also been limbs. The plan is 4 years of limbs, with year 5 being a deluxe-sized body.

Well, we were told what they were going to be doing for the first five years when they announced the first figure. At one new figure a year, it is gonna take them 5 years to finish the toy. As far as what they're remolded from, you didn't think that they were gonna pay to have a whole new mold designed for a giveaway did you?

As far as I'm concerned, that we're getting a "free" toy each year is cool, that they're all part of a set that'll combine is even better. Adding to that, the Con exclusives and the club exclusives, I think FP is do everything just right.

Windbreaker was from G2 (orange car with a chrome engine/weapon). I don't think the name "Windbreaker" was used before that...and probably for good reason, haha. :)

It might not be a construction vehicle--even though the name certainly suggests that, the first post says it was decided by a contest, and I don't think the forum members there would know what the mold was in advance.

Or they might, I guess--I'm not going to go digging through that mess of a site.

Hey, I just recalled that this might be the first one to get a new headsculpt, unless I missed a post that completely debunked that possibility back when Landquake came out.

It amazes me that they are gonna keep this one story going for 5 years. I have wanted to join just to get the combiner but my finances currently do not allow it. So, should I join in 2 years(when the new mold main body comes out) do any of you think the first 4 limbs will still be available for purchase?

No, the name was GUESSED correctly as part of a contest. A few hints were given out, and the first person who guessed correctly won a free toy.

Your chance to get Skyfall and Landquake might be rather iffy at best by then, though Breakaway and whoever the 4th limb is will likely still be available. If you want to make sure you get the entire combiner and not pay high prices for 'em on eBay, you might want to join soon.

You did miss said post, it was stated after the whole Landquake shebang last year that until the club gets another thousand or two members, it's not financially viable to remold the head for the giveaway toy.
