I like it. A lot. I don't own the Armada Jetfire mold. I kept intending to buy it, but never got around to it. This will be even better. The huge Decepticon symbol is a plus, as far as I'm concerned. Since we're getting a TF Classic Astrotrain I'd almost rather this were another character, but that's minor.
When I saw those testshots sometime back (last year?) it didn't look too good. After seeing these pictures, I might have to get one. I wonder how much it'll be though...
Phazer you do realize this isn't the finished product right? Perhaps you & others should wait and see the FINISHED product before casting stones
I love the new head and the paint job. My thanks to the club for giving everyone a new exclusive... ...but why am I going to pay that much money when there's going to be a better version (Neo G1) at a cheaper price? Sorry, I'm going to pass on this one.
Well that's another exclusive to add to my shopping list. Im assuming that Astrotrain will be available to everyone who wants to buy it, regardless if they're a member. The price for non club member will be higher, but I VERY highly doubt it will be the member price plus the membership price. Most likely it will be the member price plus the normal markup for non members that is placed on all other items sold through the club store.
Notice the big "CONCEPT ART" thing in the picture. Also, page says right above the pic that the Club wants to hear about what we think about part of the deco on their boards. I imagine they took the stock photoshopped-up photo Hasbro had taken for the mold and added the Astrotrain head design sketches under it. I imagine the final product will generally look the same, but with some minor color and/or paint app changes (hopefully the big faction symbol will be removed).
I stand corrected then,I assumed it was unfinished as Astrotrain was purple and white/grey Either way the colors aren't that bad,it'll just take getting accustomed t nce the fandom sees the resculpted head,I think it'll grow on people
Beautiful! I couldn't be happier with this exclusive! Proof once again that they really do listen to the fans, and that new head is just icing on an already kickass cake! I guess this means there is still hope for my precious Seacons!
It's not that the colors bother me, it's they aren't good enough to save the general design of that toy. There are very few Armada toys I ever want to see again. If they could re-paint and re-head Tidal Wave into Broadside, that would be so tits.
I really hate the Decepticon symbol. Too big. It's been hated on most Universe figures, why would they do it here now too?
