Another SDCC exclusive I don't need. I'll stick with my vintage G1 and Encore releases.

I may already have TFC Blaster and all of the Encore tapes but given Soundwave's release last year at SDCC I think it is cool that Blaster is getting his release this year. And since Blaster has only been reissued once then the market is not saturated with him like in Soundwave's case.

In past years when it wasn't sold out every single day, Thursday & Friday were the best for moving around and avoiding waves of nerd sweat. Saturday was the most crowded, and Sunday was less so. Sunday is a good time to pick up whatever's left at Hasbro ToyShop (and everywhere else at better deals) - but this item will likely be sold out by then. Best bet is to go Thursday or Friday and get in line if you want it. But these days the con is packed all day everyday...

It would have been nice if they would have added Rewind then it would be similar to the Soundwave set. A player and 4 tapes.

Maybe their just trying to keep the cost down. Keep the price closer to the Soundwave Set.

Blaster is a monstrous g1 figure. Towers over Soundwave.

I'm sure my brother would also love to get this reissue G1 Blaster. That's one of the figures that he never had in the '80s.

I have to agree with the consensus that they should have gone with 4 tapes. Blaster is bigger than Soundwave by a little bit, but I'd gladly have paid the extra couple of bucks to get 4 tapes to match my SDCC Soundwave's minion count.

Great news for those that missed out on the TF Collection one from a few years ago.
He's still one of my all-time favorite G1 toys.

this reminds me that i'm sitting on a case of the soundwave reissues from last year (two people backed out on buying em from me)

blaster may be a bigger figure, but he's less detailed and simpler then soundwave so the price is probably going to be the same (he was 56$ with tax) i'll probably only pick up a single case this year, as the line was looooooooooong last year (although they didn't come close to selling out at all)
