A couple inches of snow this morning, but freezing rain to go with it. Kills my plans to go out today. The roads are pretty much ice as you can see in the gray tire grooves. Oh, it's raining right now, but the good news is the temperature has risen so the stuff should start melting.
After the power outage I had to sit through last winter, I plan on someday moving to an area where it never snows.
We've only managed to get an inch or two so far. Though the forecast is for up to another 10 before Monday.
Bah, that's nothing. I laugh at those pictures. 2-3 feet, now THAT's snow! Snow rocks, it's the ice that sucks.
It is snowing near me right now. I am hoping for a ton.....because me loves to plow. This was from two weeks ago, but most of it had melted away....
An update, the snow is definitely melting, if a bit slow. One thing i hate is that my county does not salt the roads. They use SAND. If your county is not dumb emough to use SAND, let me tell the horrible problem- when the sand they spread gets wet, it slides, and is comparable to driving on the ice itself. It offers no friction whatsoever.
Hello from Florida. No snow during the winter isn't as cool as it sounds. Because it's summer year round here.
That's why I never trust male meteorologists. They claim it's ten inches, when in reality, it's closer to four. ... Looks like Monday's morning commute is going to be a real pisser.
Salt f's up cars, sand sucks and f's up cars. We use a type of chemical slush here that although stinks, melts the ice, and dosen't mess with the undercarrige of your car. btw, it's ecologicaly friendly, just stinks.
