I understand what the point is. If Walmart or Target is dumb enough to accept a toy for a refund, they'll be just as dumb enough to accept a 'broken/flawed toy' and give you the same refund. Just throw in a deluxe in a voyager box saying it's broken, and you'll get your money regardless and no kid would have to buy it accidently. That way cheaters and kids both win.
IME the only time Ive ever had trouble returning something is when I was doing the right thing.....so then plan B. These people just skipped directly there.
I saw a couple TFTM Starscreams repacked in ROTF Starscream boxes...only example I've come across myself.
Didn't somebody post a thread a while back about finding a cool Bludgeon 'variant', which was just somebody taking a crappy silver sharpie to the grey plastics, and finding out it didn't work, returned it? It was just too bad said poster didn't know this.. Who were you again? Reveal yourself!
I saw A TFA Blitzwing just like that in a Miami Marshalls, but the missing part was inside the box, it was just detached. All tapes and flaps looked intact, so it could just be terrible QC.
I know the person that bought the longhaul and he said the box has never been open ( trust me he always checking boxes)
Not always...I have seen some with regular scotch tape....I seen it myself...it was sealed..I ask him why he bought it, he said becuz he like mistakes...
It was a repackaged Payload. They couldn't accidentally place a figure that didn't exist at the time of Long Haul's release into his box.
Both Tuner Mudlap and the ROTF first release went on clearance recently in our country. The first release sold out fast, but poor Tuner Mudflap (as well as HFTD Tuner Skids) are still warming the shelves, hehe.
Because it didn't happen. Your friend has a repackaged Payload. Not a factory sealed Payload in a Long Haul box.
What's the minimum wage where you live? I'm guessing it's somewhere around $7. Y'know, the "savings" you would get on this. The only problem is that by the time you have placed something back in a package, taped it all up, got dressed, drove to Wal-Mart, waited in the insanely long customer service lines, made the exchange, and drove your happy ass home, you've spent at least 2 hours. That is not counting the time it took you to get the original figure whose box you're using to re-package, and it is certainly not counting the amount of gas you're having to spend driving back and forth. In that time, you could've raked leaves--hell, you could've begged outside of walmart--and made twice the amount you "saved" by repackaging and returning a different toy. If you went to day labor and worked for those 2 hours, you'd have doubled your money. The joke is squarely on you.
