Hahaha, I've seen worse. The TRU in my area had a DC Direct Deadshot from a few years ago in a Mattel DC Universe Classics Deadshot package on their peg.

    :lol

Why would someone buy a newly released figure and return it in a toy box that was probably on clearance?

My local Target has the deep space Starscream exclusive on the shelf (from the 1st movie) that someone returned as LEADER HFTD Starscream. I know because I scanned it and it comes up leader SS.

Probably bought Payload for $16 at Walmart, took a Long Haul for $23 from KMart, kept LH and returned PL... Thus $16 Long Haul. It works great for people that live near stores that don't clearance.

Jeezus. Mow your neighbor's lawn or do some panhandling. It would be less effort than going through all that for $7.

Eh, these repaint repacks don't bug me as much as other, infamous repacks. Any unfortunate kid receiving this as a gift from an unsuspecting parent is still getting the same toy, just in a different color (hell, he's in the same pose as the original!).

Don't get me wrong, repacking is a terrible thing. It's just that this isn't anywhere near as bad as getting three tomatoes. Or a f'ing bee's nest.

My guess is someone really wanted a Long Haul, but was late to the party. They bought a Payload to suffice, but then spotted a Long Haul later on. After opening him they decided Payload had over stayed his welcome and pulled a fast one to get their money back.

At least they weren't a complete jerk. It would just be a dickish move to repackage if, say, you found some new, highly sought-after figure and replaced it with a Tuner Mudflap.

Not joking around here, I went to Wal-Mart out of boredom tonight and saw the exact same thing. Didn't have my iPhone with me. I'm going back sometime this weekend, hopefully it'll still be there.
