An interesting coincidence w/ my collecting habits. I really need advice on this.

Ok, so this will seem a bit convoluted, but I will get to the point as quickly as possible.

Today is my 28th birthday. I just had lunch at Olive Garden, which is right across the parking lot from TRU. I usually check out TRU when I am waiting to get a table and just liek normal, I do so today. When I was walking back to my car after lunch, I realized that on most years I have dinner or at least lunch at Olive Garden on my birthday and I kill time by going to TRU to look for TFs. Then I remembered back to my 18th birthday when I had to wait, so I killed some time by going into TRU and that was when I rediscovered TFs. I bought my first ever TF for my collection on my 18th birthday (BW Airrazor for those curious), which just happened to be exactly 10 yrs ago today.

My question is, should I go back to TRU and buy a TF to commemorate this anniversary? I was thinking about getting the BW 10th Primal and Megs 2-pak. That is kind of poetic. Should I do it or just let it go? I have had the original Primal and Megs since they came out 10 yrs ago, so I don't really need the new figs, but it would be kinda cool to get them as they would be for my 10th anniversary of collecting.

What do you guys think? Buy it and probably keep it MISB (which I don't ever do), or just leave it alone? Any advice would be appreciated.

If you can afford it I say go for it! I'm sentimental like that too:) ...and my local Olive Garden is right across the street from TRU as well:lol

It's your birthday... 10th anniversary of the birthday you got back into TFs... and 10th anniversary Primal and Megs 2-pack. There's a sign in there somewhere. I say do it.

    Me either.

The moral of these threads always seems to be "buy it" So I will throw another vote for that. Not to mention all the coincidences involved here.

Thanks for the help guys. I kind of figured that would be the advice I would get, but it is still nice to hear it. I just bought them and I am glad that I did.

It is kinda cool and a nice coincidence that on my 10 yr anniversary of collecting, I bought the 10th anniversary BW figures, which are extensions of the line that got me interested in collecting in the first place and which just happen to be 2 of my favorite all-time figures anyway. Everything just fits together very nicely.

This will be a very nice way for me to commemorate the anniversary. Now, if I can just manage to keep them in the box...

Thanks again, you guys made the decision easy.

Good call buying them. I'd even say open them, they're great figures. Never had the originals to compare to though, so it may not be as worth it to you.
