I've been playing the PS3 without Rumble, and last night I tried the Sega Rally Demo on my Three-Fitty. It was so freekin sweet that whenever your car slipped into the muddy trail of another car you felt the rumble go mad. It felt like the turbulance was really being caused by that deformation in the terrain. That's a great example of how to use Rumble, and that the feature is still awesome.

    Yeah.
Games feel a little foreign without the feature now.

yeah especially when some devs take advantage of using it in the right places.

I miss it some times too. I do like how light the controller is without it though...

especially with the tilt function, but I did miss the feature. Perhaps it could just send electric jolts instead, to cut down ont he wieght but still stimulate.

I'm not a big fan of rumble. I can never equate the action on the TV across the room to the controller vibrating in my hands.

Now, I could see it being cool if you had a rumbling chair and a 3D headset, but other than that, I could do without.

Ditto. Getting shot at on screen, crashing into something, whatever just doesn't make sense as a gamepad vibrating in my hands.

I actually do have a pair of transducers installed in my couch, total cost for the setup was about $150 or so, and yea it makes a hell of a difference, and puts the silly little double ended vibrator controller garbage to shame. Plus it actually works in all the movies and TV I want to watch.
