BBC NEWS | Technology | An end to spaghetti power cables
i remember reading about some guy who was allergic to electricity, he couldn't use a phone or anything electrical. even wireless signals gave him headaches, i wonder what this would do to him....
Cool idea, but it seems like a waste until they get it to 100% efficiency - which doesn't seem possible.
All that electricity just beaming out to nowhere makes my electric bill go bleh.
i was honestly actually thinking about what a cool idea something like this would be just the other day while dragging my wife's laptop adapter around.
This sounds pretty revolutionary. Hopefully we'll soon live in a world where wires become a thing of the past.
Just read that entire article and was mostly shocked that there was not a single reference to Tesla.
That transmit resonator idea sounds cool, almost like wifi, but with pure power
No more triping over cords ever agian! Im looking forward to that.
Tesla worked on this, what, over 100 years ago? And he remarkably close to making it work then...
Thank you! Someone remembers, at least. Too bad the writer didn't do more homework on the subject.
Tesla was truly ahead of his time, and now...he doesn't even matter anymore.
A crying shame.
It's scary to imagine what tesla and edison could pull off now.
True, but imagine what they could do if it was used correctly? Free energy for all...perhaps not a pipe dream.
Maybe they can place big versions of these around city roadways so our electric cars will always stay powered up. Recharging while driving.
Drive straight to California without ever having to stop or plug in
Would be wild if they placed these like every 100,000 miles in space to keep shuttles powered for limitless destinations. Would be like checkpoints or something
