the price is right i think, its totally mint, and this is one of the few times when something isnt afa graded exceeds the amount of a graded one. this bad boy is beautiful and all the bidders know this. but i agree, I have never seen a misb scourge go for this amount. very very pretty though.

The box is incredible. I'd guess someone would bid much more for that alone, considering it would likely grade high with AFA and such.

Way out of my league, but it is a beautiful piece!

afa would probably give this an 85. and aint no way an 85 scourge worth this much-well maybe. but I guarantee thats what the bidders are thinking-"if i get this graded, I stand to make a substantial amount of money reselling it". but with the price so high, I think its already price capped itself even if it was graded. but hey, the high bidder could just want a beautiful piece for his collection.

I completely agree with that. They think if it's worth so much now, it must be worth way more graded. Usually true, but as you said, in this case, the bidding is too high already, and after the costs to AFA him and all, I can't really see it making major profits

misb scourges this nice are actually very hard to find. And if someone (like myself) needs a minty scourge in thier collection, its worth every penny. And a minty scourge like this whould not be used for profit by me, graded or not. It whould just be a nice piece to a nice collection.

How do you know? you see shady bidding? Seems like his feedback is good.

14.95 shipping shows up for me. Ebay is notorious for miscalculating postage outside the us.

And so what if it's only MO? All his past auctions were the same.

Maybe people really want that piece, hence the high price.

And you accuse someone of being a scammer because his auction for a minty mint MISB G1 toy got high, and doesn't take Paypal? So what?

    See?

if you look at the buyers history he has bought high dollar transformers before
if it is shill bidding he's good but i doubt it.shill bidders usually have very little feedback and are new users

Just curious....It seems from your collection you are a high priced item collector. Why not just snipe on something like this. Seems the semi small bidding war may have cost you a few hundred?

Im not criticizing or anything. I just can never understand bidding patterns on ebay.

Congrats, PN! That Scourge is gorgeous!

I bought a MIB complete Japanese Fort Max couple years ago, the bidding got crazy, I had to put a max bid early, cause I wouldn't be home to snipe it...but I was gonna get it regardless. I paid out the ass, but I can always look at him and smile, cause he is in my collection.

When you really want (or NEED) something for your collection, you do what you gotta do.
