AmiAmi just did a major site overhaul today and now a lot of items are marked "for sale in japan only". So does this mean their going to stop selling over seas again? I wonder what happened. Among the items with the listing are the popular figuarts and SOC lines.

Could just mean that they're only available domestically in Japan, as in you couldn't walk into a TRU in the US and buy a SRC GokaiOh. If it does mean the other thing though then that's troubling.

    No no no.

These notes have always been on those listings.

Google this issue and you'll find that people freak out about this every six months or so.

    Those notes don't mean anything.

    Not on Figuarts they haven't.

I'm not panicking, especially as SHFs with the message are sold-out anyway. I could see AmiAmi in the future giving priority to Japanese buyers when those items are in-stock, or something, but it's unlikely that they'll be entirely inaccessible. We'll see.

Yeah figuarts nor SOC have ever had that label. It seems older stuff doesn't have the label but newer items do. Like the preorders for Space Godzilla and Magiking which aren't sold out have it. I think I'm going to shoot them an email to get the bottom of it.

they only put that there to make the companies that were like "no selling to the US" to shut up, they'll still sell to us

Before the site update, yes. We were discussing a number of items that never previously had the message, notably a bunch of (but not all) Tamashii products. The email I quoted above clarifies what was wrong this time.

Well for one, this thread is a year old... so since people have been ordering stuff just fine since then, I'd say don't worry.
