I look forward to this every year and my TV will be on AMC every time it's turned on starting the evening of October 23 through Halloween night.

The movie lineup has been posted - AMC - Blogs - Horror Hacker Talk. Nice to see they've broken out of the generic slasher films and included some more indie movies like "And Now The Screaming Starts" and "The Beast Must Die". Looks like a decent enough lineup.

Not bad at all. Could do without the Psycho remake. But having Earth vs The Spider, Raising Cain, The Frighteners is a good start. Strange they have the original Fly, but not the remake, when they have the 89 sequel to the remake.

I noticed that too (the remakes and sequals fiasco) - oh well, still a decent enough lineup to keep me watching. And they do have some modern, good movies like Thirteen Ghosts and Wolf.

I do have to wonder about Young Frankenstein - not exactly horror, but a brilliant movie nonetheless.

And they managed to put two of my favorite, genuinely scary movies on there - The Shining and the original Amityville Horror. It takes a lot to freak me out and these two definately did it (along with The Exorcist...too bad it's not on the list).

I was hoping for a little more of the psychological horror.
    Raising Cain, for example.
The Aliens Quadrilogy (Quadrology? what the hell?) was interesting.

definately want to watch The Frighteners again.

What's up with AMC showing Pinata: Survival Island AGAIN!? I loved when they did Fear Fridays, but too often that title was the one being shown. It's not a good movie, it's not a fun bad movie, it just sucks.
    WHY? :(

Again? I've never seen it, let alone heard of it. Is it worth the viewing? How bad are we talking here - Evil Dead II, Toxic Avenger, or Cannibal Holocaust campy?

Not worth viewing. It's about a possessed pinata. But even for a movie about a possessed pinata, it's bad.

The only movie I managed to catch last time was Halloween...A movie I've already seen I don't know how many times.

I'm unimpressed. AMC has been going downhill for quite some time, IMO. I love the commercials about "Story matters" while Catwoman is airing.

Ironically, I'm watching Ghostbuster II on AMC right now.

I think the USA network has the rights to Halloween II. At least that's the only channel I can remember seeing it on.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer and the 1976 version of King Kong have no business being in that lineup. I'd also get rid of Aliens, Alien3 and Alien Resurrection. They're not horror movies. I also find it odd that there's no trace of any of the Friday The 13th or A Nightmare On Elm Street movies. And PiƱata: Survival Island? Seriously?

I also think Fearfest should run for the entire month of October. At least on the weekends. At least I have my dvd collection to fill in the gaps.

Have to bring this thread back since it starts tonight. Outside of football tomorrow, I'll be glued to AMC for the next week.
