Amazon has an alert for Transformers movie (2007) for sale

    I was just looking through HD-DVD's and saw something really wierd. There is already a listing for Transformers the movie 2007. I am assuming there is already a listing for the DVD version aswell. It also is sporting the 7/4/7 poster for the box cover.

    This begs the question how soon after the movie's release do you think they are releasing this? Hopefully its not because they did a test screening of the movie and are afraid of a poor box office. See what happens when you dont make mr Welker happy. :lol 

    Anyone got info on this anomaly

    I'm thinking probably around Thanksgiving is when the movie gets released on DVD. I can't wait until it comes out on HD though

    Likely a bit like with the release date of a movie they look for when the best time will be for the DVD release. I mean you wouldn't want to release a DVD on the same day as two or three other big films no matter how good your movie was. By announcing a DVD release early it gives the other guys a heads up on when they should release their own DVDs.

    I mean could you imagine the mess if Spidey, Pirates, Shrek, Potter and Transformers were all released on the same Tuesday.

    I think that they realized just how kick ass this film is going to be and got on track with it. Think about it , wouldn't you wat to get in on the action if you were 99% sure that some thing was a sure thing?

    The 2007 movie DVD was listed on UK site PLAY.COM months ago as a "click for information when released" tab. Happens for pretty nuch all big movies now.
