This has suddenly popped up with almost any search that I do on Amazon. Does anyone know what these 'books' actually are?

Did a bit of digging, and turned this up:

Book Club

Basically it's a printed copy of Wikipedia articles. According to their FAQ page they charge for "editing, indexing, typesetting, designing, printing, binding and shipping of books for those people who prefer to read printed articles than a computer screen."


Please don't turn this thread into a flamewar or witch hunt. I already see the pitchforks and torches on the horizon.

 

Thats interesting, thanks. I wonder if you get an update every time Wikipedia is changed?  

I was always told that if you cant say anything nice, you shouldnt say anything at all. So.....
