    The "self-replicating" is a bit of an exaggeration, as the RepRap can't make circuitry or metal parts or program itself, but it's still an amazingly cool (and fun, if you're into modelling or programming) little piece of technology. The fact that it can make its own repair parts for the plastic gears and such is phenomenal on its own, and this is just the infancy of self-replicating technology, so who knows what these kinds of things will do 5 or 10 years from now?
