Got a few pics of my Leader movie megatron repaint. Didnt take him apart except to take out the red wings. He's painted with Nickle-Silver Krylon Fusion spray (after I masked off a few parts), then sealed with Japanese hobby Mr Sparkle dull coat. Then I went over him with a quick black wash and did a few dark sprays around the wings and feet. I still need to do some touchup as you can see and a few little detail spots, but overall its mostly completed. As described, its entirely dry and fused to the plastic, no scratching when transforming, no stickiness or shininess. I totally love this figure now!

Like with Split Lips repaint I will say...

Had Hasbro not half-assed the figure (as far as color schemes go..and to an extent his mehtastic alt) and made him look even half as good as this..I'd already have him.

:thumb  I should've done that. It does look a little touchy in some spots, ie. some blue and silver show through here and there.

With a few touch-ups here and there it'd be perfect.

I still can't understand why Hasbro didn't do this in the first place

yup thats what i plan, need to touch up a few areas, do some highlights and some shadows to get that worn dirty look that weve seen in the CG renders.

    WOW!!

and the biggest mistake was not taking him appart. a repaint this intense deserves to be done right, take the time to take him apart, and get total coverage.

man how much more awsome can this guy be? i may just have to get him now after seeing the last 2 repaints.

Damn, that looks amazing. It makes all the difference, especially in alt mode. And it just made decide to hold off on buying Leader Megs until I know for sure whether or not Hasbro will repaint him as they are doing with Leader Prime. At least your version actually looks like movie Megs... unlike that baby blue & pink thing we're seeing in stores.

Not a fan of this really. He just looks bland now. He's shiny sure, but he needs more color to break it up. Still not a fan of that mold either. I'm loving the Movie Megs design, but his toys jsut don't cut it.

And his movie colors are all silver. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Looks good, would look better if you did some touch-ups where the spray didn't come in contact. I probably would have taken him apart to paint, but he still looks good as is.

well, if your happy with re-painting where you missed, and leaving some obscure places untouched. your figure. as long as your happy. i just made a suggestion that would save it from paint glops later on during re-touching and such.
