I have no idea what character that costume is meant to depict, but damned if it doesn't look breathtaking.
It's an Elite from the Halo series. My only question is, how does he walk?
That is one amazing costume.
I remember seeings posts about it around the time it was being created. There are servos in the head that allow him to control the mandibles and the eyes.
Halo Wars, specifically. As for walking, I believe there are stilts of some kind in the legs. I'm pretty sure there was a video of him walking.
And it´s real size too. I think in Halo, Elites are really massive and tall creatures.
That Looks Nice.
Look at my Costume:
Awesome Sauce right?
I hope that the guy that did the Halo costume entered the NECA costume contest. He could've easily won more realistic! That costume is badass.
Yup, 8'-6" tall:
Hmm, seems I was wrong. Not much of a difference there.
Wow. That is amazing. I shudder to think how much time went into that beast.
Looks like a good twelve inch advantage. And the Elite's hunched over. In Halo Wars (which this design is based off of) they are even bigger, being easily twice the mass of a normal human. And also realise that the human used for scale there, Johnson, is a tall feller. (not Spartan tall, but not teeny)
Here's a video of the guy making it...it does look spectacular

thats cool, and it walks too!
Well Johnson IS a Spartan, a Spartan I. John-117 is a Spartan II. But yeah 7 and a half foot tall cyborg killing machines.
Woot Woot Woot?
Holy Balls, that is awesome. Anyone seen this in higher res, cos I want a good look at this badboy.
I remember seeing that on FJ a few months ago and i'm still jelly. I wonder how long it took to make..
