SPOILERS




I think Soundwave was totally done with justice. When a character is portrayed just like his G1 version, I feel very happy. And with Soundwave being my favorite character, I think the writers wrote him perfectly.

Sure he got less screen time but his role in the movie was cool.

We got to see his face, which was really important. He got his monotone emotionless voice. Even though there was no interaction between him and megs, you can tell that his loyalty lies with megs. And also the fact that he released Ravage was an awesome G1 touch.

I love that it is possible he can have a pivotal role in the 3rd one.

 

One of the few things I liked about the movie. And I loved the voice, it was the next best thing to the vocoder.

 

If he landed on Earth he would of gotten killed like all the other lame Decepticon pussies in the movie.

 

I enjoyed him too, more than I thought I would. His voice suited him too.

Ya everyone made it seem like he was in the movie for like a mere bit of seconds but he had a good amount of time though just seeing his face stunk i thought he was pretty bad ass!! and i loved the voice i thought i was gonna hate it

 

How did the voice sound? Did it sound exactly like Dr. Claw, or did it sound like Welker's G1 Megatron voice?

 

Same here, really liked him, his voice suited him, but I think they could have gotten away with the vocoder thing easily...

Only some minor things I thought were a shame, like the fact he didnt have a visor (or didnt have it up or something) and they re-used a shot with him... which is stupid if you ask me.

But his role in the movie was perfect, he looked cool, sounded cool, deployed ravage.. there's not much more we could ask for in the movieverse, much better representation of soundwave than blackout of frenzy would have been..

he was a communications officer in this movie and he handled communications well

I am quite mixed about the movie but the way they handled Soundwave is definitely a positive point to me.

I definitely want to see him back for TF3

to me his voice sounded like Dr. Claws but a bit darker/twisted and i coulda sworn he had the visor lol it deff seemed like it was on him. I loved the insect like mouth with mandables that moved when he talked

 

The vocoder will be missed, but I don't think he was that bad without it. He sounded like Dr. Claw, but not exactly. It almost seemed darker and to tell the truth it appeared to fit with the visuals from my perspective.

He DOES have a visor. They treated it like they did with Jazz's. You can see his eyes behind it, but when they light up they shine against the V of his visor, giving it a warm evil look. I also liked what they did to his helmet crown. Even when you looked at the back of his head you could tell it was him. Very G1 inspired in the design.

 

Sondwave was the BOMB!!!
Without soundwave the other Decepticons couldnt have found the allspark fragments.
and the voice, well i think it was amazing! Frank Welker! WOOOOO!!!
question.....what in the world was that THING!!! as thin as paper the stole the allspark fragment????

 

 I could've sworn he just had the eyes, I'll pay extra attention next time I see it in Imax  

 

I loved soundwave

 

Yeah! The way he gather info. in the flim reminded me of his G1 counter-part - so sneaky and effective. Its just a pity we never saw his bot mode.

 

I'm in the I Love Soundwave's implementation camp. I thought he was well done, well voiced, and his role was great in the movie.

 

While I would have liked to see Soundwave's robot mode, I thought he was pretty cool and sinister as he was.
I heard a few people in the theater say "woah..." when Soundwave made his first appearance  

 

yeah, I loved Soundwave and I hope he is one of the main transformers in T3.
